ruling
[edit]From the Grimaldi page:
"This family has ruled the country since 1291."
In the Monaco article a different year - 1297 - is mentioned. Which is correct? <KF> 22:15, Oct 3, 2004 (UTC)
Peerage-stub
[edit]I don't really think Grimaldi belongs to the peerage of the United Kingdom. ----
Monegasque Princely Family
[edit]Confused: Shouldnt this artical take precedence over this artical " Monegasque Princely Family " ? It seems to me they are one in the same. Prehaps in the intro to House of Grimaldi it should me noted that they are the Monegasque Princely Family, but not create a seperate artical for it.♦Drachenfyre♦·Talk 05:22, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
- Strike that, there is precedence it seems There is a British Royal Family artical as well as a House of Windsor artical.♦Drachenfyre♦·Talk 05:23, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Intro information
[edit]With the first sentence, could we get a bit of context as to what there is to say about this house, rather than having to digress into the history portion? DarthBotto talk•cont 18:49, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
Link to Grimaldi, Calabria?
[edit]Well, I learned that Grimaldo Canella, as his father Otto, "is placed between the dark history and the beginning of the fame of the family. In fact, historians and heraldists have fabled about him ancestries and mythical origins. [...] Serious studies [have begun] only in the modern age even if the unknown on the real origin of the Canella still remains" [from the english Wikipedia text about Grimaldo C.]. Still, I would appreciate any hint about any relationship between the family and the place of Grimaldi, Calabria (if there is any), probably linked to Grimoald I of Benevento (c. 610-671).
