Proposed merge of Xbox 360 sales into Xbox 360#Sales
[edit]The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The parent article already has a rather detailed sales section with tables. It's unclear how this article expands on that with any important detail. Most of the expanded content is dateline prose that just keeps repeating "On date, x sales announced". It appears this article was mostly cut and pasted from the parent in 2013, partially summarized in the parent, then re-expanded some in the parent. It's almost entirely redundant. -- ferret (talk) 17:32, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
- Merge per Ferret.......... 174.27.21.219 (talk) 04:53, 1 January 2023 (UTC)
- Merge. Actually, looking at them, I'd just say redirect. There's nothing at the separate sales article that isn't already sufficiently summarized at the main article, and the prose line, quarter-by-quarter breakdown is useless NOTNEWS material anyway. oknazevad (talk) 21:29, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

The Xbox 360 is a home video game console developed by Microsoft. As the successor to the original Xbox, it is the second console in the Xbox series. It competed with Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles. It was officially unveiled on MTV on May 12, 2005, with detailed launch and game information announced later that month at the 2005 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). This photograph shows the "Pro" model from the launch line-up, which featured a 20GB hard drive, wireless controller and a silver DVD bezel. Photograph credit: Evan-Amos

False information about the removal of A/V
[edit]I can't edit this page yet, so... The page states that the Xbox 360 E has "no AV connector (and thus is HDMI-only)". This is completely false. While the proprietary connector of the original Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 S had been removed, it had been replaced with a standard AUX-style RCA cable. Thus, only the capabilities of S-video, Component, and VGA had been removed. https://www.cnet.com/reviews/microsoft-xbox-360-e-review/ DeadPixelPro (talk) 05:24, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
