[edit]On the 8/17/2012 episode of Real Time With Bill Maher, Reihan Salam claimed PURPA caused power utilities to switch from natural gas to coal, leading to increased carbon emissions. Any idea what he was referring to? If anyone knows and could add a "controversy" section to the main article (properly cited, of course), It would be greatly appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.81.147.96 (talk) 19:01, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
