Proposal to redirect 'Pituitary tumour to this article'

There is another article, Pituitary tumour, that appears to me to be a poor copy if this one. Its style is encyclopaedic, its content amateur and poorly cited. A proposal in 2014 to redirect it to this one did not achieve consensus (but only three editors participated). I have raised the proposal again: see talk: pituitary tumour. I have this tumor

I have been told I have this tumor and it's 5mm. It is covering my pituitary gland. I also have a micro adenoma. It has been 2 years since my diagnosis and I find myself in a precarious situation. I have been losing consciousness and having a sharp pain before and after this occurs. My doctors are yet to diagnose me. Can anyone help?

There's not much anyone at Wikipedia can do for you! You need to get in touch with your doctor! Losing consciousness is not typical for people with pituitary adenomas, so you may need more tests to find out what's causing this. I have a cyst on the pituitary gland i was diagnosed about 4 years ago, as I had milk in my breasts and I am no longer having a period. It first started when I was losing weight at Weight Watchers, and all of the sudden instead of losing I was gaining weight. This is causing so much grief as I had always had a weight problem but I decided that I would do anything to lose weight. When the weight started to go on instead of off I saw my doctor who organized for me to have a blood test. The results came back with a prolactin level of over 1600. I was then referred to a professor of Endocrinology (not sure of spelling). I have regular MRIs which have shown that there has be not change in the size of the cyst. The professor also prescribed Dostinex which has reduced my prolactin levels down to 23. I think its been a while. Could this be the cause of my weight problems that I have had all my life? I do have a lot of headaches and suffered from migranes as a child at least once a week. I am getting them lately and I have noticed that just before my period my breasts are so sore that they feel like I need to breast feed a baby. They feel like they are larger then normal. I just have so many question and concerns about this and would like someone to talk to about it.

Comment: Pituitary Adenoma Surgery

I have had two transcranial surgeries in 5 years to remove my Pituitary Tumor. I have also had Stereotactic Radiosurgery to shrink the tumor even more. At this point the tumor is smaller than a pea. I must recommend the top Neurosurgen in the U.S. Dr. Ivan Ciric, MD FACS/Professor of Neurological Surgery in Evanston, IL. He is the best doctor for removing Pituitary Tumors it is his specialty. I do have other symptoms/conditions now do to the Pituitary Tumor: menopause, adrenal insufficency, and Diabetes Insipidus (these are all linked to the pituitary which I don't have anymore). I no longer have the major headaches I once had. I had very bad headaches behind my eyes ever since I was a child. I did not find out about the tumor until I was in my 30's. I was told that 1 in every 10,000 people have some type of a pituitary tumor. Type of adenoma

Hyperthyroidism, results in Grave's Disease. Which causes abnormal antibodies that mimic TSH or thyroid stimulating hormone and stimulate the over secretion of TH by follicle cells in the thyroid.

Suffering with a pituitary tumor

I was first diagnosed with this condition at the age of 16. Doctors gave me medicines that helped it shrink. I am 28 years old now and yet my headache are worse and I cant sleep with my head a certain way at night. In the course of a day I can have three or more headaches and sharp pains going through my head. I still have breastmilk in my breast but never have been with child. The sad part about it is i was told by doctors to have an MRI every 6 months but due to lack of healthcare coverage I cant. Also I just recently i have spells of pressure in my head that i have to sit down and pray that the pressure will let up. If any one out their can help please let me know. I live in fear every time each pain or headache comes will i die from it. I know GOD has kept me this long so I'll keep praying. Sorry about the misspelled words. I was recently diagnosed with pituitary adenoma

I went to see my dentist last week to have a cavity filled, but while there he noticed that my lower jaw has abnormally grown. So he sent me to have blood work done, and my results came back that my growth hormone level was at 19. A normal level I was told is around 3 to 6. I have also noticed that my feet have gone from a size 10 to size 11.5 and that is another sign of P.A. I am 26 years old, and I have a little girl who is only 14 months. I don't know what is going to happen to me, I've been told that if left unchecked that this could possibly kill me. And I cant bare the thought of my little girl growing up without her daddy, I'm not afraid to die i have god in my hart, but I don't want her to lose me. If anyone could give me any insight at all i would greatly appreciate it. I don't know much about this, everything is new to me, I'm scared, and just want to be assured that its not as bad as I think it really is.
