Heritage
[edit]Why is she in a Norwegian Americans category, yet this heritage is not mentioned in the text of the article? Badagnani (talk) 04:01, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- She is in four ancestry categories: Swedish, Norwegian, German (maternal, stated on mother's article); English (which must be paternal, though father's article does not mention his extraction). WP addict 0 (talk) 01:22, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- She's probably more specifically of Welsh ancestry as well. Griffith is a Welsh surname. 2603:6080:5D00:2562:C9D8:1BDB:726B:E92F (talk) 16:07, 24 February 2024 (UTC)

[edit]The WikiProject Biography banner states this is start class, isn't it higher than that now? WP addict 0 (talk) 01:22, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Deletion without any explanation
[edit]It was while working on the 1992 drama Shining Through that Melanie Griffith became aware, for the very first time in her life, that Germans had done bad things to Jews during World War II, and she was quite outraged about it. This earned her the nickname "Brainiac" which was used in Toronto-area print media for some time afterward. [Movie Stars Do the Dumbest Things, Margaret Moser, Renaissance Books, October 1999 - ISBN 978-1-58063-107-5]
Please explain why this sourced fact was deleted. 91.39.66.145 (talk) 20:56, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
- That's an old rumor that's never been proven. People believe it because she said acted shocked when an interviewer said that 6 million Jewish people were killed in the Holocaust. 2603:6080:5D00:2562:25F9:8413:5686:472A (talk) 19:21, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

Why a picture of Joanna Lumley?
[edit]Why a picture of Joanna Lumley was used to replace the picture of Melanie Griffith? With caption claiming that this new picture represents Melanie? Is Joanna actually disguised Melanie, or vice versa? The picture replacing edit took place in 26 June 2014. Could someone please corret this! Thanks. (Sorry my bad English.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.157.83.77 (talk) 15:09, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
- The current main photo looks as much like Kathie Lee Gifford as Melanie Griffith. Yes, it is a photo of MG, but it is the farthest from a typical representation of her true appearance as I've ever seen. ~~ Paul — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.84.4.68 (talk) 16:24, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
Ex wife

A saucer of milk for Wikipedia! ElectricRay (talk) 15:24, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
Politics
[edit]Why is her party registration included? There are tens of thousands of people whose entries do not include that, and her party is not central to her career. The party factoid should be included for all or just when substantively relevant. Nicmart (talk) 11:56, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
Hatchet job
[edit]I have no interest in Griffith, but this is a patent hatchet job. It is brimming with the comments of negative reviews, no matter how obscure. It’s not just degrading to her as an actress, but as a woman. Nicmart (talk) 12:10, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

Personal Life
[edit]Why is there no Personal Life section? Her various relationships are instead strewn throughout the substantive paragraphs. 23.24.8.241 (talk) 22:34, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
Plastic Surgery
[edit]No mention of her infamous 2000s facelift? Griffith even acknowledges the reaction to the work she had done.
