  • The redirects Sir Adam Beck and Canada-US politics compared which for some reason show up on Shortpages, Blankpages. -- User:Docu
    • Why delete? Better try to understand why these pages (which are legitimate redirects) get listed there - that must be a glitch in the script to find short/blank pages. andy 18:09, 15 Sep 2003 (UTC)
    • Both are not marked as redirects in the SQL dump of the current table. Canada-US politics compared has two records in the dump, so it needs to be deleted to be made into a working redirect. I'm trying to fix Sir Adam Beck as possibly an additional save will turn it into a working redirect, but it looks like this has already been tried. -- User:Docu
      • Wouldn't just doing a zero-edit (i.e. edit the page and save without changing anything) be enough to do the trick here? Andre Engels 13:21, 16 Sep 2003 (UTC)
    • I deleted them and recreated them to see if that would help. Angela 23:34, Sep 21, 2003 (UTC)
    • Thank you. We will see with the next database dump if it worked. --User:Docu

I don't understand what this page is designed to list? Blank pages aren't 'most wanted'? Anyway, the Talk:Peter_F._Hamilton is a talk page to an existing article - I don't know it is important or not :/ --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus 18:14, 12 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Any idea when this will be updated?

[edit]

If there is someone who regularly updates this page, it would be good if that was mentioned, and when it would be updated, as it is currently blank. (no pun intended) JesseW 00:27, 6 Nov 2004 (UTC)

It's occasionally updated and usually fixed quite quickly (so it's blank again). Special:Shortpages (more often updated) provides similar information. -- User:Docu

[edit]

Tada! I have found a loop of re-directs, none of which have anything on them. I propose making a list of wikipoets who write wikipoetry. Wikipoetry re-directs to wikipoem which re-directs to organic poetry, something I seriously doubt exists, but nevertheless it re-directs to wikipoetry. I sense a problem here!

Broken~Talk

I did an automated scan for 2, 3, 4 and 5-loops of this sort about a year ago. Only a small number existed, from memory about 30 in total, mostly 2's. My conclusion at the time was that wikipedia was less prone to the creation of redirect loops than one might intuitively suspect; the problem exists but is not significant enough to require systematic attempts to solve it. - TB 15:49, 2005 May 31 (UTC)
This problem is addressed by the occasional checks for double redirects performed as part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Wiki Syntax. -- Beland 20:46, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

23 June 2005 update

[edit]

I have rather long lists of blank pages in the various talk namespaces. Should I upload them, as well? What about user and user talk pages?-- Beland 20:46, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I'll just dump them on a subpage for now. Do with them as you will. Leave a note if it's not useful to include them in future dumps (or how to deal with them if they should be listed). -- Beland 23:44, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It is always annoying to follow a blue link and find a blank page. So I think it is worth the time to delete (or revert to earlier versions) those empty talk pages. With the red link, you know you don't even need to go to the page. But the list is very long. Glaurung 06:23, 29 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • I haven't done anything with the "talk" sections that have red links. IMO, if a talk page is read it just means nobody has said anything about it, right? Sct72 03:08, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Why suddenly keeping entries that have been taken care of?

[edit]

Keeping the entries of articles that weren't blank but striking them instead seems a waste of space: removing them seems cleaner and makes the page source easier to read... --Mysidia 03:46, 7 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Status?

[edit]

Can someone please clarify the status of this list? Reason I ask is that if it is currently completed, then can its entry please be moved from Template:Active Wiki Fixup Projects to Template Talk:Active Wiki Fixup Projects? -- All the best, Nickj (t) 04:51, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

rewrite

[edit]

This is a page about a list that was generated in 2005. The list is gone. This needs rewriting, or something. --Xyzzyplugh 04:54, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Revival

[edit]

I think that this page should be revived.

I already created a list of black pages for the Hebrew and Chuvash Wikipedias from dumps and as a result we found many images without a license, bogus templates and pointless attack pages hidden in history.

Doing the same for the English Wikipedia may be a little tricky, as the dump is much larger and i'm not 100% sure that my laptop will handle it, but i shall try.

Does anyone have an objection? --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 16:56, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

... Besides, Special:Shortpages is empty for some reason - disabled because of server load maybe?
And when it worked it was probably incomplete and didn't include all namespaces. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 17:05, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dead page?

[edit]

Is this page dead? Because it's not being updated very much. 2002:43F4:3ABB:1234:E1BD:1018:38D4:483B (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 23:56, 11 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
