Could anyone explain the etymology of the name "Roger Wilco"? I know "roger" is used as a military term to mean "OK" or "understood", but what (if anything) does "wilco" mean? In Transformers: The Movie, Blaster says: "Roger me! Wilco me! Anything!" I doubt the script writers had heard of Space Quest, so there must be some common ancestry.

Yeah, I don't think that Transformers reference has anything to do with Space Quest. --Pcj 21:33, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Wilco" is a slang military term that is short for "will comply." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wcha (talkcontribs) 20:14, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
