Hello there, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy yourself here. If you're anything like me, you'll probably get addicted to it pretty fast :) No doubt you've already discovered the wealth of knowledge it has to offer!
I noticed that you uploaded in image, Image:Wikilaser1.png. Thank you very much for uploading it- Wikipedia needs more free images. It'd be really great if you could specify an image copyright tag. Please try and choose a liberal one!
The most free license you could choose is public domain, which means that there are no restrictions. Anybody can sell it, modify it, reprint it, etc. If you want it under the same license Wikipedia is under, you'll want GFDL, which basically ensures that credit is given to you, and it will always remain under a free license (until its copyright expires). There are also a few creative commons licenses that are great for images. You can mix and match: Share-alike (derivative copies must be under the same license...you'll probably want this), attribution (credit must be given to you if somebody else wants to use it), and non-commercial only.
If you have any questions, about this, or anything else on the site, please don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page!
Cheers,

- Thank you very much :), that's pretty much the way to do it, except it's PD rather than 'public domain' (I edited it for you, hope you don't mind!). Thanks for creating the image for Wikipedia, too!
- By the way, you can make yourself a user page if you want (at User:Kittyslave) where you can put stuff about yourself. It's completely optional, so don't worry if you don't feel like it. If you're looking for stuff to do, you should check out the community portal, especially the open tasks section. See you around! -Frazzydee|✍ 13:22, 13 Mar 2005 (UTC)
