If you want to add new titles for Bail Organa, (ie Princess, First Chairman, Grand Poobah etc) PLEASE don't just replace the one that's there. It's there for a reason - to link him with preceeding and following Senators of Alderaan. If you replace the text, it stuffs it up. If you want to add more titles, add more boxes. Redirect
[edit]The only real-world information presented about this character is trivia about a cut scene and "confusion" (although there's no citation for there being confusion) about various Bails. I've redirected to the Star Wars list of characters. --EEMIV (talk) 16:42, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
- I have also boldly redirected a recreated article for this character at Bail Prestor Organa on the same grounds, though the new article was basically a stub in progress. I'll discuss the reasoning and any possible draft with the editor in question.— TAnthonyTalk 21:17, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry for any trouble. He was my first edit here. So, from what I understood, an article about Bail Organa can't be created? I was searching for more sources to add to the info on the page (and the deleted scene in question about Bail and Mon Mothma was canonized http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bail_Organa#cite_note-Stirring_in_Senate-17 in Canon, according to this Wookieepedia source). I guess the character should have his own article, seeing he has been in three films of the franchise, and not to tell other EU/Legends material. Much minor, or characters that appeared much less or one time, like Bodhi Rook, Snoke, Maz, etc. have their own articles. I also wished to know how can I create an article based on characters such as Bail, because I understood his "page" was his redirect on the Star Wars list of characters. (Others I think could win an article based on multiple appearances would be Mon Mothma, Nute Gunray, and Wat Tambor)— DraftDrawTalk 18:24, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
- @DraftDraw: no apologies necessary and I just left a message on your talk page to explain more specifically why your newly created article was redirected back to List of Star Wars characters. A previous version of an article on this character was redirected because it contained all plot summary, poor sourcing and no citations asserting notability. Your newly created content was similarly incomplete. I understand, however, that it was just a start and you probably intended to expand and improve the article. I am happy to help advise you in doing so at Draft:Bail Organa (or your own sandbox), and assist you in moving the content to Bail Organa should it become appropriate. I have little doubt that you will be able to find citations to at least create an acceptable Start-class article along the lines of Jyn Erso, K-2SO, or the other you named above (some of which I myself created or have edited). Thanks.— TAnthonyTalk 21:33, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
Broken link
[edit]The Wookiepedia link is broken; it should be to here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bail_Organa
I can't get Wikipedia to let me edit that last paragraph! Tabbycatlove (talk) 01:41, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
Okay, wait... It seems like the Wookiepedia template might be broken..? I just did the link like a normal link. Could someone check if the Wookiepedia template used in the old version still works? It led me to a broken link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tabbycatlove (talk • contribs) 01:48, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
- The template seems to work fine for me.— TAnthonyTalk 02:34, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
Okay, thanks! Maybe it was just on this page then. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tabbycatlove (talk • contribs) 02:51, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
