[edit]Hi, thanks for the welcome. I've actually been a user since May (as it shows on my page), and have written or contributed to about a dozen articles, but hey, it's always nice to get a welcome! Asbestos
- Ha! Well, you're right. An empty Talk page makes me look like more of a newbie than I already am... Thanks!
Martin the Warrior
[edit]I noticed that you moved Martin the Warrior (fictional character) to Martin the Warrior and commented on the talk page that the disambiguation was unnecessary. I think this was supposed to disambiguate between the character and the book of the same name (Martin the Warrior (book), which is linked to twice). As you can see, that article doesn't exist. But it probably will eventually. So, I think it would be best to move the page back and have Martin the Warrior be a disambiguation page when the page on the book is made.
What do you think? Eric119 21:42, 31 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Photosynthesis
[edit]Thank you for helping out with photosynthesis. At the rate its moving, I think it can be a model article within a couple of days! ClockworkTroll 06:38, 2 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- I, ClockworkTroll, award you with this sunflower of gratitude for all the work you've done on photosynthesis. Because of your diligence, Wikipedia is a better place than it was when you entered it. ClockworkTroll 15:50, 7 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Thank you!

Thank you very much for the Sunflower of Gratitude. I'm truly touched. Now let's get Photosynthesis up to FAC! --Whosyourjudas (talk) 19:21, 7 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- You're welcome - you deserve it. :) Also - FYI - your talk page was vandalized today by 69.197.204.214; I reverted it back because it was not especially genteel. ClockworkTroll 20:00, 7 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Honorifics
[edit]I started to answer your comment here, but while I was doing so VV answered on my talk page, so I'm continuing the discussion there. JamesMLane 05:28, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Thats weird, I thought it looked awesome! I even had another, minor change I was thinking of, but left it because I thought it looked so cool. Is your objection sheerly aesthetic, or do you have some suggestions, etc..? Sam [Spade] 01:28, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for the welcome!
Hello!
[edit]Thanks for the welcome! As you may have noticed, I'm trying to request the deletion of an unnecessary duplicate page for Mount Lebanon Township, Pennsylvania. Could you or one of the mods check to see that I filled out the deletion request form right? I'm scared that I fouled up the code on the deletion page! Mareino 03:15, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
"Template:NSRC"
[edit]I now feel your point that "Template:NSRC" is unnecessary is quite possibly valid. I do have a question, however: How does one decide when the purpose is more appropriately served by a category than by a boilerplate table? (If you reply, please do so on my talk page.) —Vespristiano 06:46, 11 Nov 2004 (UTC)
I've been nominated
[edit]I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say that I've been nominated for adminship. Since you've been unfortunate enough to have dealings with me, I thought you might want to see what was going on there: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/ClockworkTroll.
Please know that I'm not asking you to vote for me, I'm just bringing the poll to your attention in hopes that you might be interested.
Who knows, this might get me more motivated to help finish up photosynthesis. ;)
Many thanks, ClockworkTroll 07:38, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I am giving you my support for you adminiship nomination. I hope you win - your username really has no issue with me, but if you change it pick something good. Best of luck. --Whosyourjudas (talk) 23:49, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your support, it really does mean a great deal to me. And honestly, I really don't mind the name change much. If you have some time, visit my Name the Admin Candidate Contest and join in the fun. :) Thanks again! ClockworkTroll 02:22, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC) (for now)
Thanks
[edit]Thanks for the welcome. I don't know that I could ever write a full article, but I do love beautifying the Wikipedia by correcting spelling, grammer and small factual errors. I love the idea of a wikipedia and glad that I am able to help out in my own small way. Gulfstorm75 14:55, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)

A quick note to say thanks

re willi willi term in tropical cyclone
[edit]Yes, i removed it because it is incorrect. A Willi Willi is a small dust devil, and in Australia a tropical cyclone is never refered to as such.
Wikilinking
[edit]Why is it policy to always highlight country/city names? I thought the whole reason for linking was to provide valuable supplementary information but having a link to Canada or Mexico in most articles isnt really of any use at all. plz explain?
- Take for example the article about computer games, they link up the country names when they appear in the article (US and Japan) but honestly those pages have really nothing to do with computer gaming at all? Plz explain (User:Hypo)
Thanks a Bunch
[edit]Thank you for the welcome. It took me two months to actually find it! Slowly but surely .... I just created an entry as a project for school. Let me know what you think. It's on Child Advocacy.
Template text
[edit]NetBot can probably run it. What needs to be fixed? -- Netoholic @ 04:59, 2004 Dec 7 (UTC)
- I've got a better solution running. NetBot can touch each article in such a way as the category is refreshed, without making an actual edit. Should be finished very soon. -- Netoholic @ 06:22, 2004 Dec 7 (UTC)

Learning the Rules
[edit]I look forward to learning the Wikipedia "Rules of the Road", and thank Wikipedia for giving me a fair chance to represent a segment of the body modification community that is trying to better itself, and maybe make the world a nicer place in the process.

The Humungous Image Tagging Project
[edit]Hi. You've helped with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Wiki Syntax, so I thought it worth alerting you to the latest and greatest of Wikipedia fixing project, User:Yann/Untagged Images, which is seeking to put copyright tags on all of the untagged images. There are probably, oh, thirty thousand or so to do (he said, reaching into the air for a large figure). But hey: they're images ... you'll get to see lots of random pretty pictures. That must be better than looking for at at and the the, non? You know you'll love it. best wishes --Tagishsimon (talk)
Translation help
[edit]As you apparently speak French, could you please take a look at Image:Cathédrale de rouen.jpg? I can't read the copyright info the uploaded put, so I can't tag it. Can you help? Thanks, Whosyourjudas\talk 00:37, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Truffade weirdness
[edit]Hi, Judas. It's Lucky 6.9. I tagged that bit of vandalism as a speedy delete without first logging on. Every so often, the system seems to attribute new vandalism to the poor slob who tries to put a delete tag on it. Thanks for letting me know. Article Licensing
[edit]Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

Template:d
[edit]Sadly, the Template:D you suggested as an even better abbreviation for Template:del[ete] has already been taken by a template for the current date. It isn't used much so I suppose you could start lobbying for changing it, but all in all I'm willing to accept you win some and you lose some. --fvw* 23:34, 2004 Dec 12 (UTC)
- Considering that Template:d is unused, I'm going to TFD it, saying that it should be remade into a Template:delete shortcut. It actually used to produce a certain form of the letter d (see the history). Any objection? --Whosyourjudas\talk 00:52, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
