Talk:Kassubians
I'm leaving the linguistic part and ethnic numbers alone. Please be aware that ethnic identification in 1910 censuses were not neutral (not that they ever have been), nor does the language spoken necessarily reflect ethnicity. Plenty of people spoke German after generations of membership in German polities. I did change 'Germania' to 'region' (leaving between the Oder and Vistula) because 'Germania' is tendentious. It didn't exist. The Holy Roman Empire was called just that. HRE. --MichaelTinkler
Ok That's fine .
But I guess that my point came across, that you cannot call all Pomeranian language Slavic, based on tens of thousands of Kassubians language speakers, when millions of Pomeranians did and do n o t speek Slavic Pomeranian , which should be called Pomorze in that case. At least I hope this point is clear ?

No, given your performance I'm not going to agree to your point in advance. All I'm saying is that I don't know enough about the linguistic situation to remove it. I also do not know that "Pomorze" is the word for Pomeranian-slavic in English and to be separated from "Pomeranian-German." I do know that the word "Land" as you frequently use it is not an English word. We use the words "State" or "Territory." I will continue to remove uses of Land that do not conform to English-language usage (or to put it in parentheses as a translation of an English word - this is an English-language resource). On the other hand, I do know enough about Tacitus to continue to revise any attempt to use his information as the primary source for an actual country called 'Germania' that was populated by coherent tribes with the names he gave. He was writing something more exact than fantasy, but MUCH less than what we would call anthropology. --MichaelTinkler
